VICTOR UMEH KILLED APGA - Ukaegbu

Victor Umeh the immediate past chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has been described as a killer of APGA's vision.
Barr. Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu accused  Chief Victor Umeh, of destroying the vision of its founders.
In an interview with Vanguard in Aba, Ukaegbu, who is in court against Umeh over his suspension as  Abia State chairman of the party, said the former national chairman has destroyed the heritage bequeathed to APGA by Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and other founding leaders by shutting out non-Anambra people from the leadership of the party.
He  lamented that APGA was now a caricature of the vision of its founding fathers and had been taken over by mercenaries.
Barr Ukaegbu said :  “It is unfortunate that the vision of APGA founding fathers has been trivialized to this extent by Umeh that non members now lead the party.
‘’This development and the purported emergence of another Anambra man as National Chairman of APGA after Victor Umeh’s more than ten years reign is an affront to the entire Igbo race and is designed to drive a wedge between the Ndigbo and ultimately destroy APGA.
“Take a look at the present leadership structure of APGA; Gov. Willie Obiano is Leader and BOT chairman. Who is Victor Oye, the person they claimed to have been elected APGA National Chairman who joined APGA from PPA a day to the party convention.
‘’The BoT chairman and national chairman are from the same Anambra State.  When did former Minister and PDP member, Labaran Maku, who is now National Secretary, join APGA to deserve his position?
‘’So, you can see that the APGA members who have laboured over the years to keep the party going have been kept away?
Ukaegbu further told Vanguard that in 2005, a notable Igbo son warned him against backing Umeh as the latter would pursue what he described as Anambra agenda.
“His position then was that Chief Victor Umeh would not allow any other Igbo man other than his kinsman to head APGA or any of its structures.”
