VICTOR UMEH KILLED APGA - Ukaegbu

Victor Umeh the immediate past chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has been described as a killer of APGA's vision.
Barr. Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu accused  Chief Victor Umeh, of destroying the vision of its founders.
In an interview with Vanguard in Aba, Ukaegbu, who is in court against Umeh over his suspension as  Abia State chairman of the party, said the former national chairman has destroyed the heritage bequeathed to APGA by Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and other founding leaders by shutting out non-Anambra people from the leadership of the party.
He  lamented that APGA was now a caricature of the vision of its founding fathers and had been taken over by mercenaries.
Barr Ukaegbu said :  “It is unfortunate that the vision of APGA founding fathers has been trivialized to this extent by Umeh that non members now lead the party.
‘’This development and the purported emergence of another Anambra man as National Chairman of APGA after Victor Umeh’s more than ten years reign is an affront to the entire Igbo race and is designed to drive a wedge between the Ndigbo and ultimately destroy APGA.
“Take a look at the present leadership structure of APGA; Gov. Willie Obiano is Leader and BOT chairman. Who is Victor Oye, the person they claimed to have been elected APGA National Chairman who joined APGA from PPA a day to the party convention.
‘’The BoT chairman and national chairman are from the same Anambra State.  When did former Minister and PDP member, Labaran Maku, who is now National Secretary, join APGA to deserve his position?
‘’So, you can see that the APGA members who have laboured over the years to keep the party going have been kept away?
Ukaegbu further told Vanguard that in 2005, a notable Igbo son warned him against backing Umeh as the latter would pursue what he described as Anambra agenda.
“His position then was that Chief Victor Umeh would not allow any other Igbo man other than his kinsman to head APGA or any of its structures.”

AU Meeting; ICC Begs South African Government To Arrest Sudanese President As Buhari Chairs Security Meeting.

Information reaching NaijaReporters from South Africa have it that the  International Criminal Court wants South Africa to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir who is in Johannesburg for an African Union summit.
The ICC says Bashir has two outstanding arrest warrants.  He has been charged with war crimes and genocide for sending the army and backing Arab militias to put down an armed uprising in the Darfur conflict in 2003.
The United Nations says fighting in the impoverished region has killed 300,000 people and created more than 2 million refugees. Most of the victims were civilians.
ICC President Sidiki Kaba said in a statement South Africa, which "has always contributed to the strengthening of the Court," should "spare no effort in ensuring the execution of the arrest warrants."
Analysts say while South Africa is a signatory of the Rome Statute that established the ICC and is obliged to arrest President Bashir, it is not likely the AU summit hosts will detain the Sudanese leader.  The AU has accused the ICC of unfairly targeting African leaders.
Meanwhile president Buhari of Nigeria chaired the peace and security meeting where they discussed about ways to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
“I am pleased to note that Cameroon, Chad and Niger are fighting side by side with Nigeria under the umbrella of the Multi-National Joint Task Force to defeat Boko Haram,” Buhari said.

Nigerians Abuse President Buhari

Nigerians sure know how to praise and how to abuse at the same time. When President Buhari was speaking after the meeting of the Lake Chad commission, he never knew his comments will go worldwide the next minute. Buhari while speaking after the Lake Chad commission meeting, referred to the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel as President Michelle and referred to Germany as West Germany
"I was personally invited by G7. I went there and I was asked to brief the G7 and I was impressed with the tremendous sympathy they have for this sub-region, the Lake Chad Basin Commission. Their humanitarian approach to the issue to say the least is very very impressive and all of them, not only in Europe; from President Obama to the Chairman of G7 President Michelle of West Germany and french President. They are all willing to help us" he said.

Nigerians took to twitter to comment . See below.
